Again, UMM Students Win Scientific Writing Competition

Bright accomplishment is yield again by students of University of Muhammadiyah Malang (UMM). In two different events, UMM students win writing competitions in different theme. Nationally, UMM leads as runner up in Articles Competition about Forest Conservation and DAS in Indonesia. In East Java Competition, UMM achieves first place in Student'due south Scientific Article Competition (LKTIM).
Vice Rector III UMM, Dr. Diah Karmiyati, Psi stated that students' achievements were increased lately. Previously, the achievements were mostly earned from involvement and talent, but nowadays it shifts rather into reasoning. "It is indeed positive tendency for nosotros have always through such achievements before. This twelvemonth alhamdulillah information technology begins to grow into student's academic achievements," explained her.
Cita Teranisa, pupil of International Human relationship Department, FISIP UMM achieved second identify in Writing Competition of Manufactures Competition about Forest Conservation and DAS in Indonesia held by Forestry Ministry, Directorate General of DAS Management and Social Forestry, and Directorate of Planning and Evaluation DAS Direction. The winner announcement was held in Coordination Meeting and Concluding-yr Evaluation of Strengthening Customs-Based Forest and Watershed Management (SCBFWM) during December 2nd-fifth, 2014 in Lombok, W Nusa Tenggara.

Meanwhile, in LKTIM East Java held to gloat 50th Anniversary of UNESA Surabaya, UMM presents trophy as first winner accomplished past Dadang Fredianto and Rajih Arraki. Both are from Sociology Department, FISIP UMM. They become winner after presenting their work shifting other 10 finalists behind in Surabaya, Wednesday (10/12). Interestingly, Dadang and Rajih shifted both students of Brawijaya University and host of this competition, UNESA in 2d and third position respectively.
In this contest, UMM team raises STEL (Sociological Theory Electronic Learning) as media of learning and theory comprehension for Sociology Students by using virtual method. "I call back this method is indeed impressing since we could now learn through the use of virtual realm. Current generation is surely handy and then that it might exist used to learn instead of playing for fun," Najih explained.
Added by Diah, the incentive founding is surely given to those winning contest. The fund is proper reward regarding achievements they gain. It aims to motivate and stimulate other students.
